Introduction
We believe you should always know exactly what happens with your information when you use an app — and ideally, you should find that very little happens at all. This Privacy Policy is our commitment to transparency about how 1w: Office Helper ("we," "our," or "us") handles data in connection with the 1w: Office Helper mobile application ("the App") and the companion website at office0002.com ("the Website").
1w: Office Helper is built privacy-first. It runs entirely on your device, with no user account, no advertising network, and no tracking of your workout history or personal habits. The sections below describe what the App does not do, and then the small handful of things it genuinely needs to function.
Information Collection
Before listing what is collected, it helps to be clear about what is not collected: the App does not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, photos, microphone audio, calendar, health data, or browsing history. It does not create a user account, does not track your activity across other apps or websites, and does not use any advertising identifier. Your workouts, routines, streaks, and settings are never transmitted off your device.
The following limited information is involved in operating the App:
Anonymous Identifier. On first launch, the App generates a random, unique identifier and stores it on your device. It is not linked to your name, email, or any personal account, and it only exists as long as the App is installed. Clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App removes it permanently.
Device Language and Region. The App reads your device's language and region setting so it can display content in your preferred language. This setting is used in the moment and is not tied to any profile.
Locally Stored App Data. Your stretch progress, breathing session records, custom routines, streak counters, wellness tip preferences, and app settings are stored only on your device. None of this information leaves your phone or is transmitted to any server. You can remove all of it at any time by clearing the App's data in your device settings or by uninstalling the App.
Local Notifications. The App schedules hourly stretch reminders and other notifications directly on your device. No push notification server is involved, no device token is generated, and no information is sent anywhere to deliver these reminders. On Android 13 and newer, the App asks for notification permission the first time it needs it; you may deny or revoke this permission at any time in your device settings, and the App will continue to work without it.
Built-in Browser
The App does not browse the web on your behalf or load third-party advertising. It does, however, include a small built-in browser used only to display this Privacy Policy and the Support page directly within the App, so that you do not need to leave the App to read them. The built-in browser does not collect any additional data beyond what is described above. It supports cookies (including third-party cookies) and local storage as standard browser features — these are set and cleared by the pages shown inside the App, and are removed when you clear the App's data.
Support and Bug Reports
We do not read any of your activity inside the App, so the only way we learn about a problem is if you tell us. The App's Support page includes an optional contact form. We never pre-fill it with anything, and nothing is sent until you press the submit button. When you do choose to send a support request, you may provide:
- Your name and email address
- A description of your question or the issue you encountered
- An optional file attachment — you can take a photo or video using your device's camera, or choose an existing file (such as a screenshot, image, PDF, or text document) through your device's file picker
This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry and resolve the reported issue. The App itself does not access your camera directly — if you choose to take a photo or video for your attachment, that capture is handled entirely by your device's built-in camera app, which manages its own permissions.
Use of Information
We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, to target ads, or to sell to data brokers. The limited information described above is used only for the following purposes:
- The anonymous identifier and device language allow the App to display content in the correct language and function correctly on your device
- Locally stored data powers your exercise history, streaks, breathing sessions, and custom workouts — it stays on your device and is for your use only
- Information you voluntarily submit through the Support form is used to help us respond to your question or fix the issue you reported
Sharing With Third Parties
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertising networks, analytics services, or marketing partners. The App does not integrate any third-party advertising, attribution, or analytics services. The only circumstance in which information would be disclosed to a third party is if we were required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal request.
Data Security
Because most of what the App handles never leaves your device, the biggest protection for your data is simply that it is not transmitted at all. For the small amount of information that does travel over the network — such as loading this Privacy Policy in the built-in browser or submitting a support request — the App uses encrypted HTTPS connections. We also take reasonable organizational measures to protect the information we receive, though no method of electronic transmission is completely secure.
Data Retention
We do not hold long-term records about you. Each type of information has a clearly limited lifetime:
- Anonymous Identifier. Persists on your device only until you clear the App's data or uninstall the App
- Locally Stored App Data. Kept on your device for as long as you want it; removed entirely when you clear the App's data or uninstall
- Cookies and Local Storage in the Built-in Browser. Follow standard browser expiration rules and are cleared when you clear the App's data
- Support Form Submissions. Retained only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and resolve the reported issue, then deleted
User Rights and Choices
You remain in full control of everything the App touches. You can at any time:
- Turn off notifications in your device settings
- Clear all locally stored data (including the anonymous identifier, workout history, and browser cookies) by clearing the App's data in your device settings
- Uninstall the App to remove all App-related data from your device
- Contact us to ask a question about this Privacy Policy, to request information about any support message you previously submitted, or to ask us to delete such a message
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information through the Support form, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
Changes to This Policy
If we make changes to this Privacy Policy, we will post the updated version within the App and on the Website and update the "Last Updated" date at the top. Your continued use of the App after any changes means you accept the revised policy.
